The Bridge chair is an attempt to create a dialogue between two conceptual dichotomies, strength and relaxation. On one hand its base, made out of Corian, offers all the stability and consistency transmitting the forces to the floor. On the other hand the seat, consisting of a single line, in profile, a Kvadrat sponged fabric to offer the user a comfortable seat. After separating these two components we find two “n” shaped steel rods that suspend the fabric contradicting the traction applied to it.
The Bridge chair is then assumed as a piece of innovative design taking as a reference the concept “less is more”. All the pieces that compose this simple chair have a function and are indispensable.
